FOS, AU is at least one point higher and one of the reasons why Bama takes so many out of state students is they offer a lot of scholarship money to higher ACT scores. Only way to keep the numbers up. I know a recent graduate who was set to go to Ole Miss on a partial scholarship, that got a full ride to Bama. Her Father (AU Grad) told me that she was actually making money by going to Bama. The Bama numbers also do not include the "Special Entrance" numbers for those kids that wouldn't get in normally. Ask any HS Counselor in AL.
