Tommy Tuberville. He won games that coaches like Gus could never dream of winning (especially on the road). He has the highest record against Top 10 teams, doing exceptionally well in the later part of his tenure. He had beaten 9 of the last 10 Top 10 matchups including back-to-back consecutive wins against Florida in 2006 & 2007. His only issue was inconsistency. Loses at home to USF then goes on the road and beats #1 UF. In all fairness I don't think there has been a coach at Auburn that has been consistent in anything besides mediocrity. So, I'd say Tubs was the best.
