Been to the final four in San Antonio and Indy in the 90's. San Antonio was great. Indianapolis was pretty dull outside the basketball.

Sears had one of the most efficient and productive seasons from an SEC guard in history.

Dalton Knecht also scored 20+ ppg this year, but he was under 50% from the field and under 40% from 3. He was also under 80% from the foul line.

Scotty Pippen averaged 20+ ppg in 2022 but he shot 41% from the field and 32% from 3.

Cam Thomas averaged over 20+ ppg in 2021 but shot 40% from the field and 32% from 3.

Mason Jones averaged over 20+ ppg in 2020 but shot 45% and 35%.

Sindarius Thornwell averaged 20+ ppg in 2017 but shot 44% and 39%.

3 guys scored more than 20ppg in 2016 but none shot better than 46%.

So in the last decade Sears is the only guy to average more than 20 points per game on 50/40 shooting. He did it as a 5'10" guard. He never took more than 20 shots this year. Knecht did that 8 times. Knecht also shot worse each month as SEC play started - 52% in Jan, 46% in Feb, and 39% in March.

Sears had the best season a Bama player has ever had, all things considered.
