We got Aden. I’m telling you this kid is going to play like a McDonalds AA with our spacing

I’d love to have Pedulla if sears goes pro
(Per 40 minute stats)
Mark Sears (Jr season)
5 rebounds, 4 assists, 17 points, 35% from 3
Sean Pedulla (Jr season)
4 rebounds, 4 assists, 17 points, 33% from 3
Also worth noting that Pedulla shot 45% from 3 as a freshman on 75 attempts, so he is capable of shooting a lot better than the 33% from last year.

Im gonna trust Oats but Pedulla is so inefficient. If I have to choice between him and Holloway give me Aden all day
Pedulla is
a 0.82PPP off Ball screens
0.97 on spot ups
0.97 in transition
Those aren’t winning numbers IMO
I don't know much about Pedulla, but why would you take Holloway over him all day? Holloway shot 31% from the field last year and in the games I watched, it wasn't from a lack of open looks. Teams were giving him the perimeter and he got to a point of where he was just passing up shots and then he was pretty much benched for any quality minutes.
Holloway looks ok on highlight tapes, but then in real time he looks like the game is moving way too fast for him. He went a combined 1-13 against us when we played them and at that time it certainly wasn't because of our fantastic defense.

Potential. Holloways is a good shooter who lost his confidence. Go watch him vs Baylor last year. Stud. Pedulla just seems like another JQ to me.
But I’m gonna root for both if they end up in Crimson.

I'm a be monitoring this visit from Pedulla..I know Coach Oats loves guards/wings so if he commits after visiting there's two things that done happened..
1) Sears is going pro or
2) Somebody else is transferring

He is a volume guy. Like a white Caleb Love
This isnt true at all.
Pedulla averaged 13 field goal attempts a game, same number mark sears averaged last season.
Caleb Love and Wade Taylor are volume guys, they average like 16+ field goal attempts a game.

Mistaken..
How can you say Pedulla is like JQ when Aden's game is almost identical to JQ's.

Trilly said he heard we have offered Sears 850k to come back.
Posted on 4/20/24 at 1:43 pm to mistaken4193
Fair enough... I wouldn't mind Holloway.
But gotta ask, you wouldn't take JQ over Holloway? He was a really, really big part of two Sec Championship teams and 2 Tournament Championships.

If our collective is right around 5 mill, I have absolutely no grievance with that. He steps right into preseason 1st team all american and preseason Sec player of the year if he comes back.

Collective for basketball being right around 5 mil a year that is

Maybe I’m wrong. If he ends up in Crimson I hope so. Tbf the only VT game I watched was vs Auburn on replay.

From what I’ve been told we have between 3 and 3.5 Million in NIL. Only a few schools have 4 million or over. Kansas, Arkansas, are two that probably have close to 5.
We made the final 4 last year with a roster that cost probably 1 million or under.
If having the most money guaranteed you championships the Yankees would win the World Series every year.

Bump it up to $1M if we got to. With Sears back we can win the National Title

That's good.
I also heard that "Coach Oats wants to run Sears and Pedulla together".
It might not be true but that's what was said by a guy on X. Who also said Aden Holloway reached out to Bama
While Nate Oats reached out to Pedulla..so I don't know what's true. I'm just bringing what was said on X here.

I’d think if you needed a scholarship you help Wague pack his stuff. That’s assuming no one else decides to leave or Nelson tries the draft.

Thanks for the info, I thought I saw something about 5 million, but it could have been me misinterpreting. IMO you gotta pay exceptionally proven experience. Im still good with it.
