UGA's entire program strategy under Smart has been to beat everyone in talent and depth and then be conservative in play style with that talent. Losing a player of the caliber is not easily replaced, but you analysis of UGA is spot on. Losing a Julio, Cooper or even Ridley would have been devastating to some of Alabama championship teams.

Gone are the days of having simply 1 elite receiver...Clemson OSU OU and Bama stack these players up there's no reason why UGA shouldn't have depth there.
