From Bama Hammer:

An elite weekend for all Alabama Crimson Tide teams

Every Alabama Crimson Tide team has been shining in 2021

The 2020-21 academic year might go down as the best in the history of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Fans are used to watching Alabama football succeed, but there are plenty of teams in Tuscaloosa worth watching this year.

Obviously, this is usually Alabama basketball’s time to shine. They alone are exceeding all expectations with a chance of earning a one-seed and an SEC title still on the line. The Tide are usually near the bubble at this point, but they are on the other end of the spectrum for the first time in many fans’ lives.

Still, Alabama basketball is having to share the spotlight this season. Baseball season began, and the Alabama Crimson Tide are off to a 3-0 start with a series sweep of McNeese State. While the road to the College World Series will be hard, Alabama is at least starting in the right direction.

The Alabama softball team is also off to an undefeated start. The Tide are 8-0 including two wins against the LSU Tigers, who are ranked in the top 10 of college softball. The Alabama Crimson Tide are ranked fifth and have a shot of winning their second national championship in program history.

Alabama softball is led by veterans, but pitching has been a strength so far. Montana Fouts and Sarah Cornell combined for a perfect game against Alabama State with 11 strikeouts in just five innings. This team looked poised to contend for a title last season before COVID-19 canceled the year, and they look ready to compete once again.

The Alabama Crimson Tide have also taken over the gymnastics scene once again. They beat LSU in gymnastics last week. The Tigers are one of the best gymnastics teams in the country, so this is a massive win as the season continues.

Women’s basketball also won this weekend. The SEC is stacked, but the Tide are still near the top of the conference due to some big wins against Mississippi State, Florida and LSU.

From soccer to the swim team, all Alabama teams have seen some success in recent days. By the end of the semester, we might see a few more trophies added to the Alabama Crimson Tide’s case.
