PC also passed away, probably about 10 yrs ago. PC, TidePride, Ghost of Stormin Norman, Bama Red. All those guys are gone.
I remember when your Bunker forum, the most active Auburn board back then, got its name. On the old Alliance boards, there was a drop down menu at the top and one could easily go from one team board to another, so there was a lot of trash talk among the Auburn and Alabama fans , strange as that may seem. The administrators had a really tough time trying to keep things in order on the free open boards. So one night was really bad and Will Woods, the Auburn administrator, was having a hard time. You guys had an elder stateman on your premium board who was very well respected, even among rival fans. I can't remember his name but I think he went by initials, like PC did. Might have been JD. Anyhow, he suggested to Will Woods that he just hunker down for the night in the bunker, and so that's what the members only forum became, The Bunker.
You UGA fans had one of the best sports boards on the www back then. At that time The Dawgvent was an independent board and it was a very good one. It was mostly UGA football but a lot of off topic content too.
Oh well. The early days of college football boards.

I'd heard PC had died, can't remember where I found out (might have been here). I recall all of those names from back in the day.
It was a poster by the name of WhoLeoJones who introduced me to TD and the SECRant way back in '09. I'd met him and hung out with him a couple of times IRL after we had gotten to know each other on Saturday Tailgate and the old OppoNets forum on VolQuest.com. When I first registered here I recognized a lot of names from those forums: CrimsonSchwaaz, PARTSMAN103, HONKifUvCOACHED4BAMA, antibarner, cajunbama and others. Of those only anti and cajun are still active so far as I know (at least under those handles).
I wonder if the Bama poster who went by the name Newman on ST and OppoNets ever made it over here to tRant. Would love to catch up with him.
