Alabama Concludes Opening Round of Play at Old Waverly Collegiate
The No. 24 Alabama men's golf team finished play in the opening round of the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship on Friday afternoon, carding a team score of 9-over par 297. The Crimson Tide will enter Saturday's second round in 14th position overall.
LSU, ranked No. 25 in the Golfstat team rankings, holds the clubhouse lead at 7-under 281, two strokes better than No. 10 Vanderbilt (283) and No. 13 Georgia (283). Ninth-ranked Texas A&M (285) is in fourth while No. 21 Tennessee (286) and East Tennessee State (286) round out the top five.

Alabama Makes Move up Leaderboard in Round Two of the Old Waverly Collegiate
The No. 24 Alabama men's golf team made the second-biggest move up the leaderboard during Saturday's second round of play at the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship, ending the day with a score of 8-under par 280. The Crimson Tide vaulted four spots into a 10th-place tie entering Sunday's final round with a 36-hole team score of 1-over par 577 (297-280).
Ninth-ranked Texas A&M (559) holds the clubhouse lead by one stroke over No. 13 Georgia (560) going into the final 18 holes. Arkansas (562), ranked No. 22 nationally, made the biggest jump by moving up seven spots into third overall after shooting a 19-under par 269 Saturday as a team, followed by No. 21 Tennessee (563), No. 10 Vanderbilt (566) and No. 25 LSU (566) round out the top five teams, respectively.
