If you want to criticize our representatives for not actually being fiscally conservative or having bad views on foreign policy, then that is fair. I just don't think you can flip out on our reps for not following Trump off a cliff.


Arkansas is 2nd most conservative state in the US now and is Trump country. He didn't support Trump now he is gone.
He had higher aspirations but can't go any higher because the Democrats will point to his previous adamant support for Trump which will hurt him.

He obviously doesn't understand politics which means he is dead in the water.

Both of those statements are true.

Other than immigration though, is Trump really that conservative? Is Trump really the person that conservative Arkansans want to hitch their wagon too?

I think things just became so much of an us vs them that Trump became "our guy" for the Republicans. Giving Trump the boot at this point seems like it is giving Democrats a win, so many Republicans have doubled down on Trump when cutting bait and finding a better leader for the party would be much more wise.
