I don’t mind it but was surprised he started the 8th. Normally we throw one reliever per inning (maybe 2 max) in these early games. Not sure what that was all about.

My guess was that their plan was Guffey then Chase but when the lead ballooned he decided to go Ras 1 more then Guffey and hold Chase back for Sat/Sun.
Probably wanted Ras to have another good inning, burn him for the weekend feeling good. That obviously didn't work out.
