Sorry to hear about your mom. The stumbling and balance issues can be attributed to the alcoholism. Unfortunately, it took my brother sooner than later and he had those issues. Also, had an alcoholic uncle same issues.

Thanks. It’s been an adventure ever since my dad died. A few years ago She ended up in the hospital and a nursing home detoxing. Doesn’t remember any of it. Went right back to drinking six months later. She is a hot mess who won’t listen to either me or my older brother. We just manage her as best we can and hope for the best. She is of sound mind.

It really is a miracle she hasn’t killed herself falling so much.
