Nope, not really. Hell, we've shot pretty well but not lights out yet in conference play - and we've only had one game that was a one possession game late. Tennessee was basically a double digit lead the whole 2nd half. The rest were blowouts.

Dunno if we're the best team but we're not some one trick pony whose had a hot....month or something I guess.

I think Tennessee is the best team. The H2H argument can be made for Bama and Bama is a very good team without a doubt. But I think the fact that Alabama is shooting 40% in league play from 3 and opponents are shooting 25% from 3 is creating outcomes that are maybe clouding people’s judgements a little bit.

I would expect both of those numbers to even out over the next month and a half.

Tennessee certainly needs to clean things up a little bit offensively and figure out their identity and how the 2 freshmen can continue to carve out larger roles as their minutes increase but they are the best or second best defensive team in the country and solid offensively with a lot of room to grow as they are essentially overhauling how they’re playing as they move Keon and JJJ to the 4 and make Fulky and Pons the only bigs in the rotation.

KenPom says Tennessee is about 3.3 points better than Alabama in a 70 possession game and Torvik says they are about 2.5 points better.

The game they played was not as close as the score suggested but Tennessee shot 19% from 3 and Alabama shot 50% from 3 and Tennessee was without arguably their best player in Springer for the last 35 minutes of the game.
