Huntsville's private job growth actually outpacing government jobs. But a lot of that has to do with the work force available due to said government jobs in the area.
Still the mix of jobs is diversifying in the future. The Toyota engine plant, and Toyota/Mazda manufacturing plant are huge. Polaris seems to be doing well. Remington on the other hand...

Sure would love to see some job growth in SE Alabama. Nothing is coming to the Dothan area. It's all banks, churches, and restaurants down here.
