Mason is as good a DC as there is out there.

Just because his teams at Vandy weren't good, doesn't mean he can't coach D. You all seem to confuse the 2. It's Vandy.

My only concern, as was mentioned several pages back, is the scheme he runs is pretty similar to what Saban runs, and also I think to what Kirby runs.

If Auburn institutes the same scheme, then doesn't that mean we are recruiting the exact same guys as those two programs? Unfortunately, I think it would be a hard sell to pick AU (at this point) over one of those programs to fit into the same scheme.
