First series of the game and the player is gone an entire game. Last series of the half he’s gone for a half. First series of the second half he’s gone for that half and first half of the next game. Last series of the game he’s out a few more plays and half the next game.

I agree, instant ejection is idiotic. It should be like a hockey penalty - sit in the box for 7 minutes or something. Can't come in until the 1st change of possession after your time is up.
