That's what I'm referring to. You wouldn't have to do that anymore. Someone had to lose that game and that game ended up being their demise. If Texas A&M had the odd year schedule this year, they'd be undefeated.

But the system you’re proposing creates the semblance of parity, ultimately resulting in players congregating less at programs clearly favored by conference officials.

This year maybe for aTm, but give it a year or two and the GOBN would revert to something more predictable and programmable.

Side note - Jimbo had every tool at his disposal to create a Bowden-esque juggernaut at FSU.
We saw how that turned out.
