The only ranked teams UGA played this year blew them out. Don’t think it’s crazy to say the Dawgs are overrated

There is no doubt UGA was over rated with Bennet playing.....no question. UGA can't help where they are ranked. With a moderately good QB and a few more first downs against Bama and UF those games are far more competitive. The outcome may have been the same but in both games UGA had recivers so open it looked like there were 16 bulldogs on the field but Bennet couldn't get the ball to them...it is, as they say, what it is....

Florida fell into a classic trap game. It happens. Even the Citadel played Bama close a few years back....

What is more disturbing is the press conference...there ain't much love between Mullen and the UF press corp....apparently this may be a thing at UF with the exception of Spurrier....and could be a BIG reason coaches either quit (Spurrier, Meyer) or otherwise do not last long....Mullen could be the next on the list. The press played a big part in running Jim Donnan out of Athens...they can and do influence the fan base....

Spurrier left after 11 years to go to the NFL. Meyer resigned over health issues. Although I agree with your analysis on the media, I don’t think it applies to those two coaches. They’re both Hall of Famers and the media didn’t force them out.

I agree with that. Richt inherited an absolutely loaded Donnan squad and Donnan had a decent record. You could attribute a lot of Richt’s early success to those players.
