I am told Mike Bobo came to Shane Beamer and told him he was considering the opportunity at Auburn. Beamer immediately told him to go get the job and made no effort to talk him out of it. The last thing Beamer wants is to have any coaches on his staff who don't really want to be at South Carolina. The feeling is the contract Bobo was offered was in line with his experience and track record as a coordinator and there was no desire to try to match what Auburn was offering. Not because the money isn't there but because it simply was not justified.

To build off of this... there's a rumor that bobo was trying to leverage this auburn interest into a bigger contract here. Dude apparently got pissed when the shane train was like hell naw baw
