Bama's dead last in punting average &
net punting average. 35.4 & 35.2

Your punter is last because he is often kicking into a short field...

LSU had that issue last yr. Von Rosenberg has all the room in the world to kick into this year. Hence his average is awesome.

FWIW, JK Scot

Doesn't matter where he punts from, it'll be a short boot!

J.K. Scott was and still is awesome!

Skyler Delong was averaging 48+ in highschool. He comes to Bama and shanks every other punt..

It doesn't make sense!

However, also important is they've only allowed 2 total punts to be returned for a total of 2 combined yards. And of y'alls two punters, 9 of their 22 punts combined have landed inside the 20, and 2 have gone into the endzone for touchbacks. So, of your 22 total punts this year, at least half of them are y'all trying to pin someone inside the 20, which isn't going to yield great averages per punt when you're not trying to punt deep. And if none of them are being returned, you're not losing much in that area.

Can you even name Bama's CURRENT punter?

Here's a hint - it is JK Scott's younger brother Charlie. He took over the job beginning with the Tennessee game.

He's kicked 13 times - of those 4 have come from the 50 or inside the opponent's territory. All of those have been downed inside the 20.

For those on Bama's side of the field he is averaging 42 yards a punt. None have been returned and only one was a touchback. You're talking about a NET of roughly 40 yards a kick when on Bama's side of the 50.

The kid's doing just fine, thank you.

You really should try watching the games so you'll know what you're talking about.
