Walters would need a top 10 national defense ranking to be considered for any head coaching job. As far as defensive coordinator, he could land just about anywhere outside of the top 15 teams in the nation.

Colorado did him a favor by putting him in play last year. Of course that was his alma mater, but still his name came up for a P5 gig. With a good OC in mind, I could see him at Nevada, Colorado State even South Florida in 2022.
