For the first time in my life, I’m jealous of USC football

How’s it feel to get rid of your shitty coach? Us Auburn fans can only dream of that day.

I'm assuming he'll eventually be fired. You thinking he has one more year if things get back to normal next year?

Who knows...should’ve been fired 5 years ago

Feels like a 2-8 season with a lackluster recruiting class coming in and up to $13 million in buy out money going out.
It's nice to know some new leadership is coming in, but the state of our program is pretty bad right now. The next guy is going to have a lot of work to do.

Uhh which one, you do realize we've had to get rid of alot of shitty coaches over the years. The only 3 who weren't retired or fricking died on us.

Auburn needs to time it better. It's not a good time to fire a coach unless you really need to. No visits and shite, it's going to be hard to salvage a recruiting class. Especially now that Jimbo is about to establishe dominance in the SEC West, Auburn is going to be relegated to a much littler brother role. You can't afford the major drop off in recruiting this year vs firing Gus next year.

Wait until you see who they hire before you envy them. People always think it can’t get worse, but trust me, it can.

GusBuss is going nowhere. The money doesn’t work out.

Look at it this way South Carolina is needed a break! This will give them joy for the time being.

Gus is safe until next year assuming next year is closer to normal. Of course that’s when Gus will pull a 10-3 out of his arse and Auburn won’t be able to fire him.

No way. People always say that, but he hasn’t had one of those since Year 1.

USC is 2-0. They haven’t fired anyone.

It doesn’t matter. History shows that they will pick a coach that will have similar results. South Carolina’s biggest flaw it that they suffer SEC SEC hubris. They feel that because they are in the SEC that great coaches will magically want to lead their program. Living vicariously off the success of the giants of the league would be like a Clemson fan thinking every ringer Head Coach would want to lead our Basketball program because we are in the ACC.
They need a offensive minded coach that’s a good recruiter. Selling a kid to play in Columbia where the college is located downtown that has no aesthetics and any significant success to build on is a tough sell against other successful programs in the south.
There will be a number if top programs opening up like Michigan, maybe Penn State and even Oklahoma night see Riley jet to the NFL. Those places will get the crème of the crop before UofSC gets a look.

They could start paying players like reverend Dabo.
