They are coached to turn their head. But not early (they can lose the receiver)
The question is how should they turn.
We are coached to turn inside the body of the receiver.
Some people prefer to turn away from the receiver.
Turning inside should allow more length to disrupt the ball.
Turning outside should allow more of a "play on the ball" if the throw isnt perfect.
It is hard to say if there is a right or wrong. We work harder to avoid the big play.
