If there are more transfers like this I think that helps Missouri.
We are not flashy in recruiting but I bet a lot of guys who end up going to a blue blood end up wishing they were in a smaller pond after they dive in.

What's the story on why he transferred?

Maybe he wanted to play for Mizzou and OU is in the Big 12 and that conference sucks.

He got passed on the depth chart already by the guys we brought in last year which was a really good OG class. Not saying he sucks or anything, but not sure how much he likes competing for a spot and earning it either.
If Mizzou can draw his competitive nature out, he's a good pickup from the portal.
To be fair to EJ, if it weren't for COVID, the lack of a spring ball, and lack of a full off-season S&C, that class from last year would probably have displaced a couple of guys starting on our current Oline right now as well.

He was deep in the depth chart but he is a decent player. He was never going to play with the oline classes coming in and the ones to follow. Coaches thought highly of him early on don’t know what happened.

Hopefully he can reach his potential here. Sometimes a fresh start is what people need
