You throw Clemson in there, but less than 10 years ago they were a middle of the pack small program in a mediocre conference. Just takes one hire to turn things around. Also, Saban has really kinda broken the system right now, but once he's gone, I expect things to spread out a little more.

The last time Clemson was a small program was before any of us were born. They are obviously at a level they have never seen before but they have been a quality program for a long time. They averaged about 3 ACC championships a decade in the past.
