Mike Leach is 59 years old. He's been a Head Coach for 19 years and he's never even won a Conference Championship. He's lost at least 5 games in 10 of his 19 seasons as a head coach. Miss St is a tough place to recruit and coach. I see why they hired Leach but their expectations are as silly as Leach's gameplans. MSU, unfortunately, is one of those schools that will never be able to recruit the players it takes to win SEC crowns and National Titles - and now they have a clown as a coach. It will be entertaining for a while - but that's all MSU really wants - to be entertained.

MSU along with 5 other SEC programs are in that boat..and in reality it may be 1 or 2 others in addition to that. MSU is not the outlier here, it's Bama, LSU, Ohio St, and Clemson.

Nick Saban has to be able to horde top 150 talent year after year after year, combined with hand picking qb's that frankly could make it easy for any halfway decent HC to win not just a NT, but multiple titles.
