What is the over under on the number of negative plays attributed to Cade Mays on Saturday?
False starts, holding, personal fouls, tackles for a loss/sacks
If Cade is lined up at tackle, it will be interesting to see how he does against true sophomore Nolan Smith. According to some, Nolan is exactly the type of edge player who gave Cade problems as an underclassman.

I haven't seen this on any board.
I thought of the question after Connor Riley noted the potential matchup between Mays and Smith for this Saturday (take 4 dawgnation daily podcast)
Per Riley, Nolan Smith replied to Mays tweet that "the grass isnt always greener". Nolan is the type of player to see an upperclassman abandoning his brothers as disturbing, and Nolan probably has a chip on his shoulder (for the record, every interview by an offensive player was very supportive of Mays decision to do what is best for his family).
Connor Riley says that Mays doesnt have issues against speed rushers (adam anderson). Riley said that Nolan is the exact type of player who would give him trouble (more stout and a technician at OLB).
You're in the thread. What is your guess for negative plays on Mays?

You know as much as Georgia’s fan base is hyping Nolan Smith a person would think he would lead the SEC in sacks this year.

I'm guessing one personal foul penalty. Love the way he plays but I think he's amped up for this one.

We rotate too much for that to happen.

Yea those 4 tackles he has in two games are killing it. I just looked up his game snaps he plays 70% of the snaps

Quick question. Did you watch the Auburn game? Smith was lined up out wide with the tight end and WR on the far side of the field. He's not getting a lot of sacks when he's out on the numbers lined up on top of a stacked WR.
As for snaps, he gets a lot of first and second down reps. Comes off on a lot of passing downs unless he's out wide to protect against the screen game (hes our sam linebacker).
He does get subbed by Adam Anderson and Jermaine Johnson (jermaine was injured against auburn). Aziz ojulari will also sub in as there are many plays where we only send out 1 OLB with 3 DL.

He's the type of player who is disciplined and disrupts reverses. He isnt a Todd Grantham OLB who flies upfield and abandons all defensive responsibilities.
He's described as a technician. #1 rec recruit in the country.

How many negative plays for Cade May's?
You can guess zero, you know.
I'm curious what your expectations are for him as a player against a pretty good defense.

There will be numerous personal fouls on both sides imo.
Will be a very chippy affair, can’t wait

Sacks aren't the only stat that determines how good a player is.

I mean, you guys have been spamming the board about your 5* OLine but Georgia fans shouldn't say anything about our players?

I always look forward to the Tennessee game. We have had some really good, hard hitting games in the past.

Agreed 100%
They've been spamming the board about their 5 star hearts.
But when asked to quantify their belief in their team, all of the big talkers turn to chickenshit.
They have post-traumatic Butch syndrome. They know bad things are coming
