And still threw for 300 less yards against Arkansas’ defense.
623 yards against LSU, 313 against Arkansas.
And this is what our defense is composed of

Also we were beating UGA the first 40 minutes of our game with them. (UGA would’ve done better if Bennett started instead of Mathis though) If Llama Franks can wake the offense up, watch out!
PS: Barry Odom, we love you!

Kudos to Pittman and Odom, your coaches did a better job with game plan than LSU.
I love O and love Pellini but they were two damn stubborn. Once Kary Vincent opted out back in August, even with Stingley, LSU should have worked on more zone coverages. You didn't need tape from SEC teams to see that, as all these young freshman corners get more time and experience, yes, you can play more man, but LSU and a 4 man front and blitz with press man should not have been what LSU should have been doing even with Stingley.
So kudos to Arkansas and Pittman/Odom and your coaching staff.

right here and right now, if my son were to be a football player whose talent warrants him having his pick of SEC coaches to play under, then i'd highly encourage him to consider going under the wing of sam pittman; because even though i never "hang my star" on any man or woman, that man seems to have his shite together as a human being and as a head coach -and he's humble while he's doing it.*
humble people like sam pittman who walk the litta-bitta talk they talk are god's gift to the world: they're proof that it can be done, and when it's being done it's extremely effective at getting results, and it's a breath of fresh air to watch it happen.
*another reason -a very big reason- for encouraging him to play for the PB is because nw arkansas is god's country, and going to see him play would be an excuse to do some serious smallmouth fishing on all those blue ribbon streams while i'm in the area...or just move there altogether like i want to do anyways.
as a state fan and alumni, i'm obviously not "happy" for being "slumpbuster u" (and in no shape form or fashion am i shocked, hence my eternal pessimism and durability at being melt-proof), but if we had to win against someone and turn around and lose to the next opponent, i'm happy for it to be la state and arkansas because i'm a SP fan now.
and because of that fandom, i'm pulling for ar this season. a feisty arkansas razorbacks football team always makes things interesting, and some of my fondest memories growing up and going to every game at davis wade stadium were when the razorbacks were in town. so enjoy it while you can, because we moppin' da floor with your raggedy asses in 2021
