He does seem to throw a lot of balls towards the sideline that are somewhat near a guy but almost seem like "maybe the guy can get there, but if not no harm no foul".
He completed 1 or 2 of those against us last year.

Exactly. Ever since the UF game last year he has thrown more and more of those. I do think it's a flaw in its own way BUT I think it skews his adjusted accuracy numbers a tad.
