Wednesday’s news out of Louisville regarding the Breonna Taylor case has led to some strong reactions from the sports community. Now, a high-profile social and political activist is calling on Kentucky-connected professional athletes to participate in a Bluegrass State boycott. Thursday, Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. called on professional athletes to discourage top basketball and football recruits from going to Kentucky schools, including UK, via his Twitter account. “The players in the WNBA, NFL and NBA must discourage high profile athletes, basketball and football players, from going to the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville,” Jackson wrote. “We must make economic life in KY inconvenient. This tactic has always worked for oppressed people.” While Jackson’s idea would have a noticeable impact on the state, it’s hard to imagine Kentucky-connected athletes advocating against recruits playing for John Calipari and Mark Stoops.

Yeah you're allowed to be a racist POS to white people because it's warranted, didn't you know?

As soon as everyone under 40 figures out who the hell he is they’ll take it under advisement.

So we’ve got Cap’n Nimrod calling on other mega rich, spoiled Nimrods to sway young impressionable (possible) Nimrods. Sounds like a great plan.

Nothing wrong with this. The Montgomery Bus Boycott was designed to hit the government in the pocketbook too. This is the kind of peaceful protest that needs to happen.

I'm okay with boycotting all of Kentucky. That place is full of itself. Their whiskey is overrated, their bluegrass sucks, dunno what else they got going for them other than cheating in basketball.
Jessie Jackson should move to that sucky state to keep it consistent.

When is he gonna go into black neighborhoods and tell them drug life is a bad life ? In fact why doesn't he spend his own money and reform the drug dealers and their girlfriends ?

Wrong. Though I'm intrigued by who you think does it better? For research purposes of course.

I wish everyone would stay away from Kentucky.

scotch and irish whiskey both > bourbon. I prefer rye over bourbon too... A lot of that is made in kentucky so i'll give them a pass for that. Bourbon is for girls that like sweet stuff.

Strong disagree on that one. Can't get a real taste for scotch. It just doesn't taste good. I do like rye. I'm more of a barrel proof bourbon fan, not a fan of watery taste.

rye swings wildly from meh to great I don't drink much brown liquor these days but i'm usually gonna go for rye or something less on the sweet side. Single barrel scotch is somewhat of an acquired taste it varies by region. Some of it tastes like burnt peat moss. some of it is delicate and complex. 18 year old scotch isn't worth it and I've had several kinds... 15 year is all you need.
If i'm buying bourbon and people are coming over it is gonna be Bulleit. Best value IMO. 4 roses single is prolly one of my favorites for myself.
i'm moreso just crapping on kentucky just to get a rise out of people.
Try a top shelf Irish Whiskey sometime tho and you might be pleasantly surprised
