Thanks, Murph .

Update from this evening, btw. Sounds like it’s as positive as could be expected:

TODAY
by Danielle Scaife, Organizer

Good evening! Surgery was completed around 4 p.m. today and the Dr. was very pleased with the results. He now has a head bandage completely around the head and ears. Kind of looks like a football helmet or a Russian winter hat! The Neurosurgeon stopped by, lowered the sedation and we tried to wake Brandon up. At one point, he began to move and when the Dr. asked him to give us a thumbs up, he raised his thumb on his left hand! Praise the Lord! Progress! I was informed that they will do the trach on Brandon on Friday. This will allow them to slowly bring him off sedation so they can determine how well he responds to commands and how well he breathes with the trach. They will put in a feeding tube as well. Good news also concerning the pelvis. Even though fractured, they will not have to operate. It will heal on its own! Another praise!

His response was very encouraging even if it was a little thumbs up! I was waiting for the Aggie Whoop but that didn't happen - yet! Thanks again for all the prayers! Brandon is being prayed for by people all over our country, in Japan and Australia! God is good! Remember, stop and give God thanks in all things! Be blessed!

Injuries to manage:
- Multiple fractures of pelvis, skull, back, ankle and bleeding in the brain
- Plastic surgery for wound on head, caused by contact with high voltage wire
- Clean out dead tissue around skull. Skin section from left side of head to create flap to lay over bone
- Skin graft on area around flap (not permanent fix; will require more surgery in ~6 months)
- Perform tracheotomy, so breathing tube can be removed
- Surgery next week on ankle to insert stabilization plates
- Holes in diaphragm, lungs—caused internal bleeding—required surgery; continue monitoring
- Five broken ribs (two w/ multiple breaks). Required plating
