The odds are even more remote. Of all the college kids that have contracted COVID thus far, there haven't been any reported hospitalizations. And we're worried about competitive athletes that are even less likely to have issues that your run of the mill, unhealthy college student? If the odds of a normal person having serious problems are less than 1%, the odds a student athlete will have issues is probably .00001%. I've only seen a couple of reports of athletes worldwide who have had serious problems. One was a former olympic swimmer Joe Rogan talked about on his show. The other was a guy who played basketball overseas (former FSU player) that had pneumonia first, then got COVID, then played against doctor's advice due to concerns of myocarditis and died as a result. With the testing protocols in place with this P5 football teams, no one is going to get sick and die, and the players can opt-out without affecting their eligibility and without losing a scholarship so what exactly are we risking here? I'm so sick and tired of the fear mongering over COVID

That is the biggest bunch of bullshite I ever read. They wish they were the SEC.
