They have said the same thing about Nebraska and Michigan for years. Just because it is easier for a blue blood to come back doesn't mean it is automatic. I think most modern players would rather play at Alabama, Clemson, LSU, or Georgia. Most freshman players were 2 years old the last time USC was good.

USC has never had to deal with football having less cultural significance in California and the outright socialism that's dominating California politics. USC is in trouble.
