Play or player? Player for State would have to be Darius Slay. Jonathan Banks won the Thorpe trophy in 2012 and wasn’t even the best DB on the team. Slay was so good and damn near nobody talked about him outside of the MSU fan base.

Agree. Slay got no recognition but it was simply because no one was dumb enough to throw at him. Glad to see him getting that recognition now though.
