I am with you. I actually love a power run game and great defensive battles. I would admit that high scoring affairs are exciting, (2017 Rose Bowl for example), but there is something about slowly imposing your will upon your opponent.

There is something about slowly imposing your will. That something is, it sucks. As an LSU fan I'm an expert. Ask any LSU fan how fun it is to watch your team impose its will.

Now ask them about 2019.

The problem was that LSU was not very good about imposing their will. Hey, a lot of people won't agree with me, and that's okay if you don't. I am only speaking for myself.

LSU games were very exciting, no doubt last season. But what made you love it was winning, not necessarily the high scoring. Ask any Oklahoma fan. they scored points bu the bucket load and they were screaming for a some defense because they were not winning. If LSU lost year after year in the SEC Championship game or playoffs with your offense last season you would feel differently. It's winning that makes the difference in perception.
