It's true that they always have been in the locker rooms during the anthem, but would it really surprise anyone if they were on the field for it this year? Especially with the SEC not allowing bands on the field for pregame this year? Them not being there for the national anthem in the past has a lot to do with the pregame band routines. The band does their thing, part of it being the anthem, then most have some formation they make before the team runs on the field. None of that will be happening this year.
