Arkansas is where we were in the early 2000s. Totally did get the third world treatment from the SEC as well. But when you are to the point where you struggle with Tulane and lose to Maine, you have no room to talk.
As someone who lived in Arkansas in the late 2000's however, Arkansas lived in quite a bubble thats hard to explain unless you were on the inside. Little Rock was more Arkansas than Fayetteville was ironically. NWA has the most diverse SEC fans rn cause of all the jobs there. Living in SE Arkansas, I was way closer to MSU than I was to UARK, yet most people still liked Arkansas and some even went 5-6 hours to games to Fayetteville. Hard pass
