The Waltons have donated around 500 million to the school but very little, 25 million, has gone towards athletics. Those of you who think they fund the athletic dept need to think again. There are many other very wealthy donors who do contribute millions to the various athletic programs. That’s why the school has fantastic facilities for all sports.

The Waltons themselves haven't given a lot to athletics, but many Walmart "money families" have given plenty.

The last big donation they have given was with Bud Walton back in 93 that I can remember. Besides that they could care less a bout athletics.
If they do donate then it isn't in public but would prefer not to do it as they are running a business and don't want to lose money.
They care more a bout arts such as the crystal bridges museum and biking trails...lots and lots of biking trails.
Arkansas gets lots of donations from individuals that are not from Arkansas nor have they attended the school.
