Let’s try again...
The USFL lasted three seasons. Hundreds of college football seniors finished their last year of college and then went straight to the USFL to play an 18 game season right away. To take it even further, some of those same players were then picked up by an NFL team after the USFL season was completed and proceeded to play a full NFL season. That means that some players actually played THREE consecutive football seasons without an offseason.

No one ever died or were even hospitalized to my knowledge. Also, no one ever talked about how unsafe it was.

This also applied to the WLAF/NFL Europe.

Again, why was it never an issue then, but all of a sudden it is now?
