I agree, HS football I don't know the differences. One thing I think is the money is not involved. HS football is the last pure amateur sport. High school football is not a billion dollar industry. And if someone gets COVID-19 in HS vs. College, there is no HS football coach making 10 million dollars like Saban, Dabo, etc. College football is a 4 Billion dollar industry by some estimates. Players take the risk, the Universites and coaches make the money.

HS football is pure amateur, nobody is making tons of money off HS football. If someone God forbid dies from Covid-19 playing HS football, I guess they can sue the local school board but how much can they get, where are the deep pockets? who are making money off High School athletes.

And to me, just me, that is the problem college football is in. It uses the veil (i.e. Form) of amateurism like HS football but in substance is a big business like the NFL.

And that is the problem College ball has, in my view.
