And we still don't know much about the long term health impacts. Lot of reports of permanent heart, lung, and kidney damage in survivors, some that never even showed any symptoms of the virus.

But the more info that comes out, the more it appears that even the elite athlete is susceptible to the long term effects of the virus. And as more of this evidence becomes available, the more that the people in charge realize they can't provide any sort of protection for anyone. Which leaves them liable if they proceed as planned. So I don't see any way sports will be allowed to proceed unless you can convince the majority of athletes to sign some sort of liability waiver. This is a known danger which they can't currently prevent. The only way you can prevent it is to prevent any member of the team from getting it which we already see isn't realistic. I am saddened and thoroughly disappointed, but I don't see how they can play. I think the P5 commissioners are all just waiting for the other blink first so the rest can blame the bad guy.

I totally agree with Trevor Lawrence. These athletes are in a much safer environment than they would be back home on the streets. As he said, they have motivation to stay safe at their schools--football camps. I guarantee, they are far fewer with Covid 19 now than there were before they all reported a few weeks ago. Plus 98% of them have far better health care and probably 100% get better nutrition. I heard the UAB athletic director discussing how good the medical care of their athletes is compared to the general public. When they do a covid test, they get the results the next day. And think about all the kids that wont ever go to college if we shut this down. And, its not just football. How many of these football players end up in jail if we send them home? How many more pregnant girls with no father. Stick you head in the sand and that is what you get. If you want to talk about long term side affects from the virus. What about long term side affects from playing football, or other sports. Why are we worried about Covid, but these are injuries are OK. Its all bull crap.
