In the end, Fayeteville (Ark.) High Top247 receiver Isaiah Sategna will stay home for college.

Sategna has flipped his verbal from Oregon to Arkansas, giving Sam Pittman and his staff a pledge from the No. 1 recruit in the state.

“I wanted to go to Arkansas because, Oregon and Arkansas are both great programs, but I wanted to be closer to my family and let my family see me play every week,” Sategna explained to 247Sports. “I can come home whenever I want to and family played a big part in it.”

The dynamic 5-foot-11, 170-pound Sategna ranks as the Top247’s No. 133 prospect nationally. He had been in the fold for Oregon dating back to July but took a couple visits to Fayetteville this fall.

“I really like the coaches,” Sategna said. “I like Coach Pittman. Arkansas they were not a very good program whenever I first moved here but Coach Pittman has already turned the program around. I feel like it’s going to be a top program pretty soon.”

Sategna is having a terrific junior season. He’s caught 64 passes for 1,260 yards and 13 touchdowns through nine games with another three rushing scores. He becomes the jewel of a Razorbacks class that now ranks No. 19 nationally per the 247Sports Composite. Kenny Guiton led the charge in Sategna’s recruitment to Arkansas.

“He’s a younger coach, I feel like he can relate to us the athletes a lot more than say Coach Pittman because of his age and he played football at Ohio State so he knows what it’s like to be a student-athlete and stuff. Having a coach that can relate to you that gets you a lot. I feel he’s also a good coach and what they’re doing with Treylon Burks is very impressive.

Set to play in the All-American Bowl following his senior season, Sategna will not enroll early as he plans to have a big senior season in track. He ran 10.8 in the 100m dash as a freshman, 6.86 in the 60m as a sophomore and has a 24-1 long jump to his name.

Sategna’s parents were both standouts for the LSU track program. His mother participated in the 1992 Olympics representing Jamaica and his father competed in the 1996 Olympic Trials as a standout decathlete.

Sategna is also a former Texas A&M commit that considered USC among others before finding his way to Arkansas.

Here is 247Sports National Analyst Gabe Brooks evaluation of Sategna.

"Average height with a lean, athletic build. Not overly long but owns a plus wingspan and some space to add mass. Big-play threat over the top and in the screen game. Longer, sprinter-style stride aids in building top-end speed. Playmaking ability noticeably improved from sophomore to junior seasons. Production reflected that across the board. Averaged 19.92 yards per reception over sophomore and junior campaigns. Fairly fluid laterally despite longer stride. Combines that trait with functional athleticism in space to create impressive run-after-catch plays. Ball tracking and adjustment ability improved as a junior. Outstanding track and field athlete with a rare athletic pedigree. Both parents are former high-level track and field athletes. Has competed in at least 10 different events. As a freshman and sophomore, won 10 individual indoor and outdoor Arkansas 5A/6A state championships. Owns personal bests of a 10.80 100 and a 21.93 200, along with a long jump of 24-plus feet. Can improve hands-catching consistency, as well as route precision and nuance. Gears down at times when redirecting. Raw as a receiver but overall athletic profile suggests immense potential. Could play in the slot or outside and also provide a dangerous return game option. One of the nation's top track and field athletes in this 2022 football class. Projects to the high-major level with all-conference potential and a ceiling beyond college."

Isaiah Sategna may be one of the best sprinters in the country. But he is in no rush to leave his hometown of Fayetteville, Ark.

The four-star wide receiver from Fayetteville (Ark.) High flipped to hometown Arkansas on Wednesday night, flipping from Oregon in the process.

“After talking to my family, we have decided that it is in my best interest to decommit and go to a school closer to home,” Sategna tweeted. “I want to thank the University of Arkansas for believing in my talents and being the first school to offer me during my sophomore season. With that being said, I have decided to commit to the University of Arkansas and be a hometown hog.”

Sategna becomes the top commit in the 2022 Razorbacks recruiting class. He is the No. 180 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 149 player in the 2022 On300.

Sategna’s decommit drops Oregon from the top-10 of the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking to No. 11, while Arkansas jumps inside the top 20 at No. 19.

The flip is also a major win for the Razorbacks track and field program. Sategna is a 10-time Arkansas state champion and was the 2019-20 Gatorade Arkansas Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year as a sophomore.
