I'm guessing this conference alignment idea was specific to football and no consideration was made for the rest of the athletic department. Thats the only way I can make sense of him adding Boise & UCF and getting rid of Baylor Rutgers and Wake. Specific to Baylor, its pretty wild that a school in the national title conversation for football (marginally, but still), Men's BB, and Women's BB, all in the most recent year would be dumped out of the entire power conference alignment.

I legit think the guy who proposed this just forgot about Baylor. If it’s football only, then Baylor is DEFINITELY in. They have 1 losing record this decade, a 1-11 season in the wake of scandal. They also have four 10-win seasons, two conference titles, 3 BCS/NY6 bowl appearances.

Without looking, I’d assume that makes them a top 3 team in the conference over the decade, OU and TCU being better.

If you factor in their hoops (M and W) and baseball programs, it only makes them better. While their baseball team isn’t a powerhouse, they’ve made the tourney 6 times in 10 years, won a regular season and conference tourney title, and advanced to a Super one year.

I checked his twitter, he's got texas and A&M imagery and doubled down when questioned about Baylor's omission, I think it's fair to say he was trolling Baylor fans as no less than a secondary objective.
