It's about more than just national championships, however. To be a blue blood you have to have had sustained success over the course of decades. Miami is currently 45th all-time in wins, 19th all-time in win percentage, 18th all-time in bowl appearances, and 54th all-time in bowl win percentage. It also must be noted that as recently as 1979, just over 40 years ago, the university was mulling cutting the football program because it was so shitty and draining on their revenue.

Sure but you eventually got to step up with NC's especially in the post integration era.See Texas and Michigan

Both have one NC each in the last 50 years
I'll take Miami's resume all day over both those schools in that time period.
