Well, that's bullshite. It won't be a silver bullet vaccine, like for polio or whatever, but there could be a vaccine, and it could make a big difference. The flu vaccine often makes a pretty big difference each year.

The flu isn’t an RNA virus.

Also, they are not very successful at preventing the flu. They try to guess the strain that will happen that season and put a few different ones in the vaccine. But it’s only good enough for the season and there are hundreds of different strains. This is why many never even bother with flu shot as you can still get it.
