Of course he found ways to continue to praise diversity. First, he is an academic and you have no idea how much pressure there is to NOT seem racist, to NOT seem to worship diversity. EVERY major school now has an office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for goodness sake. There are serious consequences for deviating.

Second, I brought up his findings on social trust. That last sentence you quoted says he still sees benefits from diversity, "including racial and ethnic diversity, to our society." That is circular reasoning!
