They have a huge advantage on everyone because they are the flagship school of probably the most talented state per capita in the whole country

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but other teams are able to cross the state border and recruit players. We have a slight advantage to being the instate school but it's not a huge advantage by any stretch.

Georgia is surrounded by power five schools and they are a short distance away. So yes the state is top five in producing division 1 prospects. But they face stiff competition in recruiting.

If you notice but not only are the schools in states with the most division 1 prospects have very good college teams or team but the border states as well. For example the state of Oregon produces little division 1 players. But over a 10 year period, they have recruited California and signed 130 recruits. California is top five in division 1 prospects.

That isn't the only example but it isn't necessary how much your state produces but how close you are to a state that produces the most top level prospects. California, Texas, Georgia, Florida and Louisiana are top five in division 1 prospects. If your team is located in those states or border them then you have a good chance of doing well in recruiting.
