I thought barmore was an animal. Unblockable.

He was. Maybe a bit too unblockable tho. Overran the QB often and didn’t play his gap.

What's the deal with mathis? Even with all the injuries on the DL and him being one of older Dlinemen he can't get any starts. Just not good enough?

He’s fine, good rotational player. Saw some significant playing time when Davis was injured near the end of last season

From the roster you provided there were six LBs available with more experience than a TrFr. Some of those guys had to be ILBs?

3 were ILBs

Moody was a 3 star, never panned out

Benton was a bust, completely useless. I have no idea why he played so much versus LSU. It was like playing 10 v 11.

Kaho was ... idek. He had only been on campus about 4 months total so he was extremely inexperienced and he had a ton of family issues.

We actually played Lewis and Jennings at ILB some throughout the season, mostly in the LSU game. As you might have thought, playing a 6’5 260 lb pass rusher at ILB is not a good idea

C Allen played in all 13 games. How bad was his injury? He could have sat some of preseason camp and first couple of games to get him 100%. It's not like he was needed to secure a victory for bama.

OLB was fine, they were not an issue. Allen looked visibly less explosive but that was expected.

So what you're saying is barmore, moody, benton and kaho's shortcomings are due to poor player development. Kaho has been on campus two years. He was an '18 signee. He played in every game in '19 and at least a dozen in '18.

Watched the LSU/bama game a few times never once did I notice jennings and lewis lining up anywhere but as the two outside defenders on the LOS. Sometimes with hand on the ground as a DE. Sometimes standing up as OLB. Never as a LB backed off the ball behind the DL. Guess I'll have to watch again and pay closer attention.
