It's part of history - Confederate statues show leaders that helped shape where our country is today and how it was formed. You are trying to insuniate these men are evil. Should we tear down Sherman statues for being a general piece of shite. What about Thomas Jefferson, WHat about George Washington. Lots of people that owned slaves have statues all over the place that didn't fight for the confederacy.

Jefferson, Sherman, Washington, they were all fighting for something that wasn't objectively terrible. The South's entire reason for fighting was to make sure new states had the ability to choose if they wanted to own slaves.
