I also think it’s likely that beck and Mathis transfer before all is done.
Beck emerged as a junior but then had a very poor senior season. He could likely become a serviceable starter at some point, but lacks the overall talent of Newman, Daniels, Vandagriff.
Mathis was a project from the start and by misfortune hasn’t been able to play or practice fully. He is way behind the others based on that development.

Beck had a poor start to the season. From what I read, the offense was good by seasons end. It sounds like the offense had a new cast of OL and WRs which struggled to be effective early on.

Mathis has been able to practice fully. Remember QBs never get hit in practice.
