As a Kentucky fan, it makes sense that you would care about Bryant and his time at Kentucky. However, that is not what makes him top 3 CFB coach of all time. Some top coaches spent their entire careers as HC of one program while others had prior HC jobs at mediocre programs or smaller schools. The one thing they all have in common is championships, Heisman winners, memorable seasons, above average records against other top coaches and programs of their time, and elite winning percentages at the program where they accomplished those things.
